Gîte Le Bief - Pont-et-Massène

If you are looking for peace and nature, this single-level accommodation will delight you. It is located on the ground floor of the former mill, which also serves as the owners' home. The mill race flows beneath the property. A private terrace—equipped with a table, chairs, parasol, and barbecue—sits above the water. It extends into a path running along the river and grassy areas with sun loungers for soaking up the sun (East/South-East exposure). There is a 25 m² living area featuring an open-plan fully equipped kitchen, a dining space, and a lounge. The sleeping area comprises two bedrooms: one for two people (with a 180x200cm bed or two 90x200cm beds) and the other with a 160x200cm bed. Each has its own private shower room. There is also a separate toilet with a hand basin. Guests have access to a shared swimming pool (6.5 x 12 m), heated from mid-May to mid-September and secured by a safety fence. Pont-et-Massène is a charming village in the Auxois region, located just minutes from the motorway exit. It is a lively spot during the season thanks to Lake Pont, which offers a designated swimming beach, a children's playground, a water sports center, picnic tables, and two restaurants. You can walk to the lake from the gîte in just a few minutes. A marked trail allows you to hike the 12 km loop around the lake. The medieval town of Semur, offering a full range of shops and services, is 4 km away. Nearby attractions include the châteaux of Epoisses and Bussy-Rabutin, MuséoParc Alésia, Fontenay Abbey (a UNESCO World Heritage site), and Flavigny-sur-Ozerain—one of the "Most Beautiful Villages of France."
